a message from alyiah,

Hi everyone ! Welcome to my page, I am very excited to share nutritional and workout related plans with you all. Before I do, I wanted to give you some insight on what AlyActive is all about. My name is Alyiah and I am a CSULA (Cal State University of Los Angeles) Nutritional Science Major. Before I decided to become a Nutritionist, I struggled with maintaining a healthy and consistent workout schedule. I did not have the extensive amount of  knowledge I have now. I started working out and trying “yoyo” diets for the last 10 years and found it difficult to reach my goals. As a woman, feeling secure, comfortable, and confident in your own body is very important and  it was something I struggled a lot with.

Although I have always been active, it took me many years to figure out what exactly works for me. Through the years I discovered the many different body types  and how important it is to try different workout exercises and meal plans in order to reach a specific goal. I am constantly being asked how do I find the motivation to becoming a healthier me? I can personally say overtime I made working out and healthy eating a habit and it became part of my daily routine.  That’s when I knew I created a new lifestyle for myself ! Although,  I may have my days where I do not want to workout, I always remind myself that I workout and eat healthy for the simple fact that it is my choice and it’s makes me happy as well as feel good. Being able to visually see my results over the years has made me become more passionate about helping others get “right” physically, mentally and emotionally.

Working out is a great stress reliever for me, considering life can be hectic at times. Once I started paying attention to eating habits and made small workout adjustments I began to see amazing results. My confidence, inside and out, has increased significantly and that fuels me to 1. Keep going 2. Be able to instill the same feeling into others as well.

For most, being “healthy” is easier said than done;however, eating healthy is key to reaching the results you wish to obtain from your workouts! Healthy eating is 80%, while 20% of your results come from your workouts. I learned It is important while working out to find nutrient dense foods that you ENJOY eating in order to reach optimal results ! I want to be able to share my life in health and fitness with you all in hopes to be able to motivate and inspire individuals to be the best version of themselves. One key aspect when making a lifestyle change as such is, MIND OVER MATTER. As long as you focus on getting your mind right, staying positive and having a good support system, great things are sure to come. When you put your health first , consistently put in work every day, it leads to being able to maintain a healthy lifestyle and great results. Although the road is not  always easy for anyone, including myself, it is indeed worth it !

Xoxo Alyiah
